Rich and his team helped make my Halloween party a success. There was early outreach letting me know who was coming to work and they prepped before the start of the event. Rich tended bar and kept my guests entertained as well as provided for. He also made sure that his wait staff kept an eye on the food and cleaned. All in all, it was a great experience and I would happily recommend him.

There is not enough I can say about Richard and his staff who showed up prior to the start of the wedding in total catering professional mode, ready to cater to my 150 guests. Words can not tell you how pleased I was with the work of Rich and his staff. I had a five minute talk about where things were, about what time to serve appetizers, entrees and dessert. I totally forgot I was at my own party, they did such a good job. I did not have to correspond with him or his staff the whole day. They were so on point with making sure all went right from serving the hot food, presentation of the food to cleanup. I was able to correspond with my guests the whole day without worry. They were amazing and I would like to thank them for making my wedding party a success.

I highly recommend Richard Lawrence Stein! The food is amazing!! Our family which includes a very picky eater absolutely loves all of the dishes. He is very responsive and wonderful to work with! If you are planning an event, there is no question who you should call!

Hiring Rich was the best decision I made for my recent outdoor party! He promptly answered all my questions and met with me prior to the party and gave me a detailed list of what to have on hand. He came two hours earlier to set up and loaned us three pop up tents that we set up right outside the garage which saved the day as Mother Nature did not cooperate and it rained all during our party. Rich brought his portable bar and set it up under one of his tents on the driveway along with his amazing claw foot tub. Everyone loved his drinks and his personality. He made sangria and various mule drinks as well! Highly recommend! You can relax knowing that rain or shine your party will be a success!

Rich Stein is a charming and talented chef who made our party a gastronomic success while completely taking the burdens of hosting off our hands. His associate Paul did a spectacular job running our bar, while Rich served and help entertain our guests. The lasagna and hangar steak were outstanding, as were the appetizers, potatoes, salad, and desert. The amount of food was more than adequate but not too much, so Rich did a veteran job in helping us select the right menu. Our guests were impressed with Rich and Paul's professionalism, and their breadth and depth of experience and expertise makes them comfortable conversationalists who will put you and your guests at ease before your party starts. Rich was an absolute pleasure to work with and made getting staffing for our event simple. He took care of keeping the meeting running by arranging food, removing trash, and being there to support the team with whatever they needed. I would highly recommend Rich for any staffing jobs you need.

Everything was perfect! Rich was professional, creative and accommodating with food, timely preparation and pricing.
He catered a great casual dinner for my out of town friends and family the weekend of my son's Bar Mitzvah and then catered an amazing brunch the day after the Bar Mitzvah. He got to my house early, set up, stayed to help serve and make fresh waffles and cleaned up after!
Highly recommend using him for any event! Super easy and flexible to work with!!

I reached out to What's On The Menu Event Services for a few extra waitstaff to help with a wedding I was running. Rich got back to me right away asking details of my event and how many people I would need. The day of the wedding, the 3 staff members from Rich’s team were all on time (early in fact), took direction well and worked very well with everyone. I had the pleasure of talking to Rich about the recipes he used to make the delicious food that was served, so not only did I get to enjoyed his food but I got ideas on how to make my own culinary creations. We hired Rich and one of his professional servers to assist with a small home wedding (35 guests). Rich and his assistant Jan showed up exactly as planned (90 mins. before the guests arrived). After what amounted to a 5-minute conversation, Rich assured me he understood everything and I didn’t need to give anything a second thought! Although most of the food had been previously prepared, Rich and Jan methodically developed their game plan on how to choreograph the appetizers, the main course and the desserts. I was totally blown away at how efficient they were in getting EVEYRTHING out at the perfect time, exceptionally presented, and how seamlessly one course flowed to the next. At one point, I walked over to the grilling area where Rich was cooking just to check in with him when I noticed he was using a meat thermometer on every single piece of grilled chicken. That is what I call expertise and attention to detail! Jan did much of the actual hosting and we could not have asked for a more attentive and courteous professional there on our special day. One of things that really stood out about Rich and Jan was how intuitive they were finding their way around our cookware and trays and everything else, and how they just made it all work perfectly. Neither of them approached me during the entire ceremony for assistance or questions other than to make sure everything was going well and if we had any concerns whatsoever. The clean-up after the event was more than I was expecting. Rich and Jan washed everything, put the extra food in containers, and even left a small assortment of food and desserts out in a small little set-up for last minute “picking”. It was the details like this that really stood out. Leading up to the day of the wedding, like most people we were very concerned about everything going smoothly and if every detail was in order. Rich and Jan wiped away those feelings immediately. In fact, everything went so incredibly smooth, that the 6 hours they spent with us flew by! We were just so happy to be able to spend the time enjoying our families and friends and not having to give a second thought to all of the serving and wait services. I would highly recommend Rich Stein and his staff for any type of event and will definitely look to them in the future. Thanks for an outstanding job!
